Security Center

At Lowell Five, we're committed to protecting our customers against identity theft and other financial fraud. We have established this security center as a resource to help you stay up-to-date on the latest information and warnings. By following some of these simple tips, you can help protect yourself.

  • Buy a shredder and use it to destroy documents containing personal information.
  • Limit the number of credit cards you carry. Store unused cards in a place where they will be safe in case you lose your wallet.
  • Never leave paid bills in your mailbox for the mail carrier to pick up. Drop them off at a post office.
  • Keep your social security number confidential. Only provide it when absolutely necessary and avoid using it as your account number whenever possible.
  • Never give out personal information (social security numbers, account numbers) over the telephone. Banks and other financial institutions have your information and should never ask for it over the telephone.

If you receive a suspicious email asking you to click on a link or supply personal data over the internet, delete it immediately or forward.

Lowell Five will never call or email you asking for personal information. Please contact us immediately if you ever receive such a call or email.
